[=“arial”]Hey, I am a 21 year old female, planning a trip to Western Europe for me and two friends (22 and 20 years old) this summer.  We are arriving in Paris on May 28 and departing on July 25.  We are trying to plan the trip on a tight budget by backpacking, staying in cheap hostels, and eating at the market often so that we can splurge on fun activities, visiting museums and historic sights, and going out.  Any suggestions about cities to visit, sights that can’t be missed, or just general traveling advice would be greatly appreciated.  Here is my first, very rough itinerary.

Fly into Paris
Paris (with a day trip to Versailles) – 5 days
Avignon/Aix – 1 day
Cote D’Azur (Nice, Cannes, Monaco) – 3 days
Interlaken – 2 days
Zurich – 1 day
Liechenstein – 1 day
Munich – 2 days
Salzburg (with a day trip to the Salzkammergut Lakes) – 2 days
Innsbruck – 1 day
Venice – 2 days
Verona – 1 day
Bologna – 1 day
Cinque Terre – 2 days
Lucca – 1 day
Florence – 4 days
Assisi – 1 day
Rome – 3 days
San Gimignano – 1 day
Siena – 2 days (we will be there on July 2 for Palio)
Naples/Pompeii/Amalfi Coast – 3 days
Athens – 2 days
Staying at a friend’s house on the beach in Greece – 3 days
Mykonos/Santorini – 3 days
Fly to Barcelona
Barcelona – 2 days
Valencia – 2 days
Madrid – 2 days
San Sebastian – 1 day
Loire Valley – 2 days
Fly out of Paris

I would love any help and suggestions.  Thanks!!
