Hi,

My friend and i have got it in to our heads that no matter what, we are both going backpacking around europe next year, hopefully by the summer. We will be giving up a lot, by renting out our properties and putting our jobs on hold for a time limit that we just arnt going to make. We have decided to start in france as we live in the uk and catch a ferry there for as little as £10 each, from then on the world is our oyster. Although starting out in europe and experiencing the wonders of this part of the world we are open to travelling anywhere and everywhere we want to go. We dont want to make plans, have deadlines or time limits or worries about anything. We just want to get up, put our backpacks on and go.
We have both been saving hard and will carry on to do so until our departure date is set, the more we can get the better! We both want to work where ever, doing whatever for how everlong, to get as many life experiences as possible.
Were both male and 26years old, neither of us speak another language and find this part of the thrill as to how we can cope and survive in the unknown. Because of this we understand finding work will be very difficult and challenging but again part of the thrill. What ever was on offer we would take it and for what ever pay.We wouldnt be working to fund our adventure, just to make the most out of it, so if we couldnt get any then no problem.

Now that you now the basics of our plans, it would be great to hear from anybody who has done this type of trip or similar as everyone i have spoke to, or read about, has only been for up to 6months! Any advice as to do with costs, places to go, finding work etc, etc would be gratefull appreciated,or any of your stories that you would like to share with me would be nice to hear.

Thanks for reading this and i look forward to my replies!!
