We have finally got our tickets to Europe and arrive in Geneva on May 3.  We want to stay for 1-2 days then travel onto Rome.

Our two options:  1.  Cheap flight (easyjet)  or 2.  Overnight train

Any opinions about the best way to travel between Geneva and Rome would be appreciated.

Cheap flight would be my first choice.  You can use www.whichbudget.com to see which budget carriers fly this route.  I’d also check www.europebyair.com

An overnight train (I don’t particularly like them) would be my 2nd choice if I couldn’t find an affordable flight.  You can check schedules at the German rail website:  http://reiseauskunft…
