Although this isn’t an O’fest question, i feel the people who read this site are more versed on german travel and german festivals than anyone.

Since my trip to to O’fest has been delayed until 2002, i am thinking of flying over in December to muck around the Christmas Markets

1st, i heard the weather sucks. I would imagine anywhere in the northern hemisphere, early december is not a prime time to travel. Any advice on things to bring?

2nd, I have read that Nuernberg has one of the best christmas markets in Germany. Any other christmas markets/cities to check out?

Well, instead of gloating in my sorrow about not being able to go, i will focus my energy on going in Dezember!
