I was looking for some tips/experiences on the alpine road. I’m planning to drive from Fuessen to Salzburg (august 2012) and I’ve gathered that we can take the famous alpine road for the most part. However, I was looking for some more information on that. Has anyone in this forum traveled that road before? I’ll be traveling with my parents so was wondering how the services are like, along that road. How about rest areas? Any interesting detours? Basically, I’d like to start early from Fuessen and reach Salzburg before night fall. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks
