We’ve decided to take the train from Frankfurt airport to Bamberg on our arrival in Deutschland. We’ll qualify for the Schoenes Wochende-Ticket—21 euros for the two of us (regular tickets are 44 euros each). We will have to take the S-Bahn to the main Frankfurt station.

Based on what I’ve been able to glean from various sources, it appears that we buy the ticket right there in the airport train station and the one ticket will cover both the S-bahn ride and the train to Bamberg.

Can anyone verify this?
