getting to Prague
Tue, 10/30/2007 - 13:03
Looking into going to Prague via train or bus; possibly even car for 8 people. Any advice would be appreciated and information about costs. Thinking of going from Vienna or Linz or Nuremburg.
Train:
Vienna – Prague: 4hrs
Nuremberg – Prague: 5hrs EUR 42,50
Linz – Prague: 6hrs
Air:
Vienna – Prague 50mins EUR 35 (www.skyeurope.com)
I did Salzburg to Prague on a train, 20 euro when purchased at the station. The train took forever, but the views of the landscape and stops in the smaller Czech towns were well worth the wait. Many trains through these areas have stops, but they don’t always explain that to you so make sure you understand where you have to stop and change trains. Not an awful lot of English spoken around there so make sure you figure it out before you leave.
