Been to a few in the past, which were amazing…Sziget festival in Budapest. August (there in 2003, saw Massive Attack, Moloko, Morcheeba, etc.) Summercase in Barcelona – mid July (there in summedr 06 – New Order, Keane, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk), O2 Wireless London June (there in summer 06 – Gnarls Barkley, Massive Attack, Pharell, etc.), Creamfields, and the list goes on. I’ll be going again this summer!!!

Guca in Serbia. It is a brass-band festival and is free. AWESOME energy and an amazing time. It is in August each year.
Funky, I would love to see something like that. Have you ever heard Brass Menazari?
I really enjoy Eastern European music.
I saw Gogol Bordello at the Voodoo Festival last fall in New Orleans. They are touring North America now, and will be heading over to western Europe in early May. Their music is infectious, their performances are quite energetic and exciting.
Here are their tour dates:
Gogol Bordello Tour
This band was at Voodoo too, a bit different genre but some really good rhythm going on.

Cil,
Yes I have seen Gogol here in NYC back in December. LOVEDDDDDDDDDDD them! They just played the other night in Brooklyn too but it was a week night and I wasn’t feeling driving into Brooklyn. SOOO fun to see them.
As for the Brass Menazari, I have not heard but will check out.
On another note, Guca was one of the coolest things I have done, I am trying to get back this year. If I go, I would like some buddies!
gogol went off last month!!!! amazing show!!!!

So glad to have kindred spirits!
The Dead Weather have some European dates.
I only liked the first half of their last album, but the new stuff sounds intriguing.
This French festival looks great. Wish I could be there for 2 July.

You already missed it but Dour Festival in Dour Belgium!!! 4 days of camping, 200+ bands/djs, so many stages. Everything from 90s hip hop like Public Enemy.. to hardcore electro.. or my favorite band, Bonaparte.. it was great!! It was only 100 eur. (117 with camping). .. try to go next yr!
