Good places in Munich?
Tue, 03/20/2007 - 21:44
What are some good lower key party places in Munich. I don’t want to be with a bunch of college kids (too old for that) but want to have a good time including music, reasonable drinks and hopefully, a few english speakers; any suggestions?
i have a quyestion about munich too.. is it worth going to? and is it worth going to for 3 days? thats how much free time i have
Just hang-out on the Marienplatz, and people-watch. There are several good places, including the Augustiner Restaurant – to sit at the outside tables, order a Mas (litre) of good bierand some roasted chicken, and chill-out.. There is also a very good Irish Pub – located only about 100 steps from the Fraenkirche (Church of Our lady)… Look for the two large towers.

Munich also has the best museums in the world.
Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.
I’m a big fan of the Internet Cafe on Altheimer. It’s a cool little place to hang out and they have a 10% ISE discount!
You should try checking out Mike’s bike tour or one of the other similar tours. You will meet some other people to hang out with, and if all else fails, check out a pub crawl. They will let you know about it on the tour or you can ask someone at the desk of your hostel. The pub crawls usually have a bunch of english speaking people from all walks of life, and im sure you will make some good friends to have a good time with.
