GOOD WEBSITES FOR FARES TO OZ??
Mon, 02/07/2005 - 01:40
hey. i am travelling to oz in about 6 weeks or so and i have yet to book a flight. can anyone suggest a good website for me to check please?? thanks
Hi
I can not help with getting to OZ but when you are here for the cheapest air fare for the day and time is http://www.farehunte….
You have to add on taxs to Jetstar prices
hi superclub…two discount places to check fares are www.airlineconsolida… and www.hotwire.com …i’ve found them to consistently beat orbitz, travelocity, etc….call them on the phone if you have questions…they are as accessible as any travel agent…don’t forget to check specific airlines for fare specials too…
…you can take your best price to a local travel agent if you wish…the two times i’ve done this they beat the online price…if the agent looks at the consolidators/discounters (some are available only to the industry) and the various airlines they can get you the best price possible -except if you are flexible enough to do name your own priceline…
…don’t be shy about bringing in a print out of what you have found…neither travel agent was offended when i did that…it helps them narrow their search and reminds them to check the consolidators…
…make sure you use open jaws and check out different possibilities…eg. fly into cairnes and depart from sydney or even melbourne for the same price as a rt ticket…i saw an ad on tv where 3 flights within the country were included…depending on how much time you have…maybe you’ll even want to do a round the world trip -sometimes for only $100 more…spend some time figuring out what you want before you make a final decision but do it quick …six weeks is cutting it close
…you’ll get your best price if you buy sooner rather than later if you want a gauranteed seat…have fun!
