I just returned from a month in Provence, and I flew rt New York to Marseille on Sabena for $750. The list price was $1108. I got this great deal from Twinworld Travel, a NY based consolidator. If I remember correctly, their price was about $40 more than the one on the TISS website, but I had none of the hassles. Though they don’t have a website, they were extremely helpful on the phone and worked with me to find the best deal re times, dates, airports and prices. They were nothing like some of the other consolidators I called who just tried to rush me on and off the phone as quickly as possible if I didn’t want to jump at exactly what they were selling. Everything went smoothly, quickly, easily and as promised. Though they are based in NY, I believe they discount fares from other US cities as well. They gave a discount for a check rather than a credit card, so I used one of those purchase checks most credit card companies send you periodically. This gave them the benefits of a check and me the protection of a credit card. No, I don’t work for the company or get anything for recommending them, I just wanted to share my experience in the hopes of helping someone else. Their telephone number is 212-869-4717, and I’m pretty sure you can call them toll free at the same number using 800 or 888 as the area code.
