So I have been reading these forums for weeks and would like to offer you guys some advice. If you are trying to read a non-english language page, simply use this website to convert it:

http://world.altavis…

The webpage is called "Babel-Fish" by altavista.com

I also use this webpage to write emails to hostels/hotels, and convert them to the approriate language before sending my email. Also, another thing might be useful is to write a list of sentences in French/German/Spanish, etc. before you leave your trip. In otherwords, I wrote down on paper "How much?" or "Where is the nearest hostel" in French and German. So just in case a non english speaking person does not understand me, I just show him the piece of paper in his written language.
