For those who have been to Europe several times, have you noticed that there are a lot more Gypsies in Italy now than before? We saw them all over the main streets of Florence especially. the ones at the train stations were especially pushy. In ’94 i saw a few in Krakow, Poland but now with the push to join the EU and all, i didn’t see a single one. For the most part, Gypsies don’t seem to be agressive and some entertain the public by playing instruments, singing, etc., but there are those that will actually follow get in your face to beg. Really uncomfortable and annoying. What are your experiences?
