Hi there…I’ll be in Scotland next month and want to take a quick, three-day tour of the Highlands. I’m having trouble deciding between Haggis Adventures’ "Skye High" or MacBackers’ "Highland Romp". I like the price of the MacBackpackers’ tour (55 pounds vs. 79), and the fact that the overnight stays are in cities, as opposed to small towns which Haggis puts you in (I’m a proud urbanite). I’ve watched the online videos for both companies and they’re equally hokey, but I think I’m leaning towards MacBackpackers.

Can anybody who’s been on either tour (or both) give me the pros and cons? What should I expect from my fellow travellers – reserved homebodys or drunked frat-types? How are the hostel accomodations? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated…
