My husband and I will be in Key West for six days in early December. We’re staying at a cheap guesthouse and are generally looking to not spend wads of money on our trip. Being backpacker-minded, we’re looking for tips from anyone who’s been down there and really "seen" the island…done more than just lay on the beach and go to the Sunset Celebration every night. We hate doing only "touristy" things…I mean, sometimes touristy things are worthwhile, but we try to do more, if that makes sense.
