My father has always wanted to go to Hawaii, so for their anniversary (12/03) we are thinking of giving them a trip there.

My question: Any opinions on package vs. non-package vacations to Hawaii. They would be going for daytime activities – lazy days, a little shopping, sightseeing, nice restaurants, etc. They would not do any group travel thing.

I wouldn’t mind an all inclusive thing, but we (bro., sis & I) certainly can’t spend an outrageous amount of money either.

Ideas?
