So I’m planning a trip to include, Munich, Prague, Salzburg, Budapest and Vienna. What I’m looking to do is get the triangle central europe pass for Vienna, Prague, and Budapest. But I’ll start in Munich and use a bayern ticket to get to Salzburg. I found a flight from Munich to Vienna (one way) for 52 dollars on Skyscanner. I’m trying to do this as cheap and logical as possible. So After arriving in munich, taking a train to salzburg, I’d take the train back to Munich so I can fly into vienna. Once in Vienna I’d use the triangle pass to get to Budapest, then ending in Prague. My question is, Is there an easier way to get to Vienna from Salzburg instead of going back to Munich for cheaper than 52$?

I don’t suppose the triangle pass could get me to vienna from salzburg, then to Budapest, then to Prague???

Can any of you help with a more logical and cheaper way of transport between these cities? The only thing that is set in stone, is starting in Munich and ending in Prague. Thanks in Advance!

I am leaving from Charlotte,NC
Amsterdam, Bruges, Antwerp, Paris
Requesting help with Transport, Hostels, Budget, Itinerary

Train will actually be faster than flying and this is a nice train ride. I’d only fly this if I lost a bet. You should easily find a 49 euro special (total cost, ticket and reservation — no “extras” like you might find for your flight) for the day you want to travel at: http://reiseauskunft…

As for getting to Salzburg, it’s almost exactly 1/2 way between Munich and Vienna on the train. Visit it as a day trip from either one or make it an all day stop on your train ride between the two.
