Hello! My fiancee and I will be traveling to Europe this upcoming fall. We will be in England and Scotland this September for 17 days. We are now in the process of trying to come up with an itinerary. We are very flexible and we know that things will come up and plans will change but we like have some sort of plan to guide and give a sense of organization. We will be taking a Macbackpackers tour of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye for 5 days and spending 2 days in Edinburgh. That leaves us with 10 days in England. Wales is not really in our plans. There is so much we want to see. We are mostly interested in the countryside. History and the arts are also up there in the list! We would also like to know of some nice romantic spots. These are the places in England we want to see in no particular order: London,Canterbury,Salisbury,Oxford,Bath,York,Wells,Avenbury,Stonehenge,Stratford upon Avon,Cotswolds,Cambridge. Of course we know that in 10 days we won’t be able to see all those places. But maybe some of you could tell us which are a must, and which aren’t really worth the time. Also which are just a big tourist trap. If there is a certain place that I have not listed and you like please let us know. Thank you for your time and help it is really appreciated!!!
