Hello Travelers,

I’m backpacking Europe with a friend from March 10-April 17th this year 2010. We are both under 24 seeking a youth eurail global pass that will enable us to travel in 21 countries.

My one question is if the 15 day youth US$495 pass is consecutive days upon activation?

I been searching everywhere for specifics on this site http://www.eurail.co… but there is no number to reach and Rick Steves site says it is consecutive http://www.ricksteve….

So I can only use this pass for 15 days in a row?

We might go to Turkey for a couple of days and will be in the UK so if they are consecutive I should either purchase the 21 day or month pass.

Thank you! Smile

I am leaving from Los Angeles, California with $2000 for 39 days
Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Salzburg, Venice, Giano dell'Umbria, Rome, Sicilì, Madrid, Granada, Barcelona

Check here — under “railpasses” at the top of the page. There are two different 15 day global passes. One is good for 15 rail days in a two month period. The other is good for 15 consecutive days of travel.

If your trip is 19 days long there is no way you’re going to spend 15 of those 19 days (probably only 17 iof you take off flight days) on the train. If you get a flexipass (certain number of rail days in a 2 month period) you’ll only need about an 8 day pass.

You’ll want to fly from Dublin to London, and fly or take the Eurostar (pass not really useful for this train if you book in advance) from London to Amsterdam, so you don’t need to get railpass days for those trips.

I am a little confused how your trip got into that state. It is pretty broken. Can you give me some idea how you were able to break the trip planner that bad? Smile I need to see if I can fix it…

I am leaving from Montreal, Canada with $1600 for 16 days
Frankfurt, Munich, Venice, Florence, Nice, Barcelona, Paris
