Hi everyone, we’re all here either to learn or give advice about traveling on budgets, so I figured it be nice to have a post where we all (veteran backpackers) could post up their budget numbers so others can get an idea of the costs of a backpacking trip. I’ll start out with mine.

Total cost, including all train and plane tickets of 5 week trip- $1,700.00

Transportation costs- $1,060.00
Daily budget- $19.75 a day including all lodging, meals, sights, and public transport.
