Thanksgiving is the most expensive time to fly.  I’d consider $400 a very good price for your dates.

Check Kayak.com
If you fly from/to different airports you can get it down to $290
Huntsville to Philly, then take a train to NYC? Its about a 2 hour train ride.

Try all the 5 major airports in the area.
Newark, JFK, LaGuardia and Coram.

You should be able to get good tickets on Continental for EWR or SouthWest to Long island. AA services LaGuardia as the hub.
Then just hop in on a shuttle to the city.

If you are in JFK or EWR, then just take the Path for 1.50

You should really find tickets for less than 200.00 USD if you buy it now.

I am leaving from US and traveling for 11 days
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
