Hi all! I leave in less than 2 weeks and have not bought my railpass yet. But planning to buy it in the next couple of days. I guess I have kept postponing it because I am not completely sure what is the best deal. Honestly, all the choices have confused me more than helped me. I am thinking of just doing the easy thing and getting the 1 month unlimited saverpass (I am traveling with my husband) but it is pretty expensive so I keep wondering is this the way to go. I know many of you in here are great at helping out with train info. Especially oldlady who really knows her stuff. So if I wrote down my itinerary is there any way possible one of you could help me pick out the best option. It really would mean a lot. I even tried making an appointment with a Rick Steve’s consultant which charges $60 for half an hour but they are fully booked. I am really starting to panic. Hopefully Eurotrip will once again come to the rescue. Important info…. I am 25 but husband is 27 so we can’t get the 26 and under deal. We really don’t care if we travel in 1st or 2nd class. I realize that maybe it is more economical to buy a combination of railpasses and point to point tickets but is it still the case once you include the fare for all the daytrips? Being that the 1 month would include all daytrips makes me think it might be the better option. If the savings are minimal would you say to just go ahead a pay a bit more and have the comfort of 1st class and the less amount of stress from having to buy different tickets? Thanks to all who are willing to help out! Here is the itinerary….
