Hostel costs - first time traveler
Mon, 03/07/2011 - 22:03
we’re planning a trip for the month of June 2011
we wanna go to ireland (dublin), london, amsterdam, paris, barcelona, italy(florence, rome, naples) and greece(athens, the islands).
we don’t have a solid itinerary yet, however we wanna spend a couple days in each place, and stay in hostels.
we’re planning four weeks, and a biudget of 3000$ (all expenses) .
does this sound reasonable?
I am leaving from united states with $2200 for 26 days
Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Athens, Dublin

Not including airfare, yes.
Reykjavik, London, Lille, Berlin, Kraków, Lviv, Istanbul, Selçuk, Pamukkale, Kızkalesi, Göreme, Kars, Bat'umi, Akhalts'ikhe, Tbilisi, Telavi, Istanbul

the 3000$ would include airfare, which is just under 800$
Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Athens, Dublin
Then you still should be good on a frugal budget

To do this trip on $2200 you’ll have to be really frugal. This is a rough estimate, but I imagine you’ll spend $350-$450 getting from place to place, leaving you about $1800 or $70 a day.
