I’ve decided to spend a full 6 weeks in Ireland, instead of touring around mainland Europe like I had originally planned. The problem is I really don’t know what clothes to bring with me. I read that it rarely gets above 20 degrees celcius in July and August, and I know from experience that it rains all the time. I don’t want to be too cold and wet and I also don’t want to be too warm because it’s summer. So can someone help me devise a packing list ( just clothing —- the rest I can figure out on my own ). Here is what I was thinking:

rain jacket ( it’s a nylon outershell, slightly on the thin side, but not as thin as a kway )
microfleece pullover
denim jacket ( I know denim is supposed to be a backpacker’s enemy, but I live in mine in the summer. I can’t imagine not bringing it )
4 tshirts
3 long sleeved shirts ( 2 long sleeved tshirts and a long sleeved hooded shirt that zips in the front )
2 peasant blouses ( they are light, weigh nothing, for hot summery days )
2 pairs of jeans
black nylon capris
long black skirt
knee kength black dress
5 pais of socks
6 bras
7 pairs of underwear
Fila trainers
sporty sandals
black slides ( for clubs and some walking )
sunglasses
hat
umbrella

So what do you think? Too much, am i bringing the wrong things? I’ve heard shopping is expensive in Ireland, so I don’t want to have to buy too much out of necessity ( souvenirs are a diff. story ) I’m planning to do Dublin, Glendalough, Kilkenny, Killarney, Tralee, Dingle, Doolin ( trips out to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher ), Inishmor, Galway, Clifden, Donegal, Derry, Giant’s Causeway and Glens of Antrim, and Belfast.

I know people on this board hate these packing questions, but ANY advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
