OK – I have made up my mind to move to Europe
(Netherlands – Amsterdam/Rotterdam or Haarlem)
for a few months. It is cheaper to rent an unfurnished
apartment then furnished.

350-450 Euros Month – Unfurnished
650-850 Euros Month – Furnished

I plan on staying for 3 months.
An unfurnished apt would cost me Lets say $1350.00 – 3 months
While a furnished apt would cost me $2550.00 – 3 months
I could also save $$$ since I can avoid the finders fee
going for an unfurnished (additional months rent)

Savings of $1200 to $2050 EUROS for unfurnished.

My question is:
Do you think it would be feasible to buy the bare necessities
at Ikea Amsterdam (futon, cooking stuff) and go for the unfurnished.
(I would need to ditch /sell the items when I left)
I expect bare furnishings to cost about $400.00 – $500.00

Or just go for the furnished? Any ideas or thoughts on this
would be helpful. Any other discount furniture stores do you
know of? Any pitfalls in this thinking?

Anybody looking for a roommate?
Last question – How is Haarlem?

Any help would be appreciated Smile

Thanks
Sean
