I need work in Australia!
Thu, 12/01/2005 - 00:10
Hey there,
I recently applied for a work visa for Australia (through BUNAC), and when it is approved, it can be used for up to three months. When I get there, I will have to search for a job, and search for a place to live, all temporarily.
SO I am thinking about what kind of jobs I can do, and what I am qualified for, etc. What kind of jobs will hire me for only 2 or 3 months?
So, i realized I can do fruit picking, though i am concerned about not making enough money or feeling like a slave laborer(though it sounds like a fun job).
I don’t think waitressing or bartendering is my bag either.
I am qualified to teach secondary English, though I know I won’t find work for that short period.
Throughout high school and college I have worked a variety of jobs ranging from retail to office work to sewing garments to taking care of animals. So you can see that I am capable of a variety of tasks.
I am starting to browse around now to get ideas. Does anyone have a suggestion? I will (hopefully) be arriving in Sydney at the end of January/early February.
Thanks in advance

why don’t you go to travoholic’s website and ask her? she’s an expert in this:
