Hello. Well this is my situation. My fiancee and I are planning a trip to Europe in September. We are hoping to be there for around 100 days. We want to backpack through as many countries as we can. I have read posts on this board for a while now, and I have finally decided to post. I am filled with questions. You can say I am quite clueless when it comes to all this. So I need as much help as I can get. We are thinking of coming up with some kind of itenarary. Maybe not one that is so strict that won’t give way to flexibility but one that gives an idea of what we want to do and keep some kind of organization. We are thinking that the 3 month eurorail pass will be the best thing for us. But what do we do about Britain, Ireland and Scotland? Should we get a prepaid bus ticket? What about some of those tours. Some people say they are really good. We want to see lots of the countryside. How much time should we allow to that area? We are both really into history also. I can’t come up with a decision of the places that we want to see. Everything just sounds so beautiful. So how about some of you telling me some places that we shouldn’t waste our time at. Will 100 days be enough to see most countries covered by the Eurorail? How early should we get the plane tickets and eurorail pass? What about hostels? Will it be a good idea for us? We want to meet tons of people but we would like to sleep together. Would bed and breakfasts and pensions be a better idea? We are not huge party animals so we are not worried about missing out on that. Another thing we are going to be there in the autumn months. What kind of clothing do we wear around that time. Will it be really cold? Well I guess this is enough questions for now. If you read all this I want to thank you very much. Please write back with suggestions. They are all welcomed.
