Well after years and years and years of frequenting this message board and planning and dreaming my life away, I’m finally going backpacking solo!

I leave tonight at 5:30 for the airport and I’ll be in Dublin first thing tomorrow morning. I don’t know how I’m going to survive work today!

I’m all packed and ready to roll… but I’ll always still have the fear that I’ve forgotten something essential. Oh well.

The weather’s crappy today so that’ll get me used to what promises to be a rainy, wet Ireland.

Can’t wait to get the the bottom of my first Guinness!
