Ok, here it is, my rough Ireland itinerary. As I’ve been looking into places to visit, I’ve discovered that I need a LOT more time than I actually have! I’ll have about 14 days to explore, not including arrival and departure days. My day trip possibilities are in brackets. Depending on flights from Glasgow to Dublin and my timing, I might have to do this in reverse, but here it is:

Dublin – 2 nights (Wickow, Glendalough)
Dingle – 2 nights (Blasket Islands)
Doolin – 2 nights (Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher)
Galway – 2 nights
Donegal – 1 night
Portrush – 1 night (Giant’s Causway, Antrim Coast)

This will leave me with 3 nights to either divide among thes places or add somewhere new. Any suggestions?

I’ve heard people mention Connemara, but I can’t find the place on a map. I think it’s near Galway… would that be a good daytrip? Should I be skipping the Ring of Kerry, Cork, and Killarney? I’ve heard they’re good, but also very touristy. I’ve chosen my destinations based on the recommendations of people from these boards… are they good choices?

Also… does anyone know if you can ferry from Doolin – Aran Islands – Galway?
