I will be in Istanbul on July 2nd and want to get to Budapest, hence I have a couple questions:
The train ride is 31 hours through bulgaria and romania. Is this an interesting area to take a train through, or is it boring? Also, does anyone know how much this ride would cost, or where I could find out?

Part of the reason I ask is because I got a quote from Turkish Airlines for $160 for the flight, which takes one hour. Any one have any suggestions on what I should do? any idea of how to get the flight any cheaper?
