Hi,

I´m planing my trip to Europe, and I have some questions:

1 – Is it possible to go from FLorence to Pisa and just visit Pisa for the day and go back to Florence? Or is necessary to sleep in Pisa?
2 – What about Pisa and Lucca can I visit both in the same day or I need to stay over night in both city?

I want some tips about traveling aroud Italy and small citys that I shoudn´t miss..
I want to know small citys that I can go just for the day and come back to sleep in Florence, Rome, Naples.

Hope some one can help!

1. Yes, easily. It’s just over an hour on the fastest trains. Take # 1 bus to Piazza dei Miracoli. Visit tower, cathedral and baptistry. Eat lunch and return to Florence.

2. Lucca is only 20+ minutes from Pisa and it’s 1 1/2 hours from there back to Florence, so it’s probably doable. It depends on what you want to see and do in Lucca and how far it is from the train station.

BTW, Naples is doable as a day trip from Rome.
