Italy for New Years?

My sister and I will be in Italy around New Years. Does anyone know where a great place to spend New years is in Italy or should we shoot over to Greece? Or are there any must see celebrations around that we should definately see? Thanks!

i have been to italy but not during new years. but i can say with confidence that any big city there should be pretty wild. i would choose rome for new years.
