Italy-Greece connection
Fri, 01/19/2007 - 19:04
Is there a cheap flight between Italy (anywhere) and Corfu? We would rather not waste 20+ hours on a ferry but it isn’t worth the $300 plane tix. Any help?

Whichbudget isn’t showing anything. Is there a reason you want to visit Corfu, and not another Greek island??
It doesn’t matter really, but are the prices to other islands much cheaper or are they easier to get to?
Corfu is on one side of the Greek Peninsula. What are generally considered “the Greek islands” are on the other side.
You can fly from Rome, Milan or Venice to Athens on a $99 Europebyair flight pass: www.europebyair.com
Maybe the Pink Palace.[
But Corfu is really a beautiful island. Much greener than the Cycladic Islands.
EuropeByAir is probably the way to go. But here is flight information to Corfu from FlyCheapo:

Getting to the Aegean Islands will not be cheaper than getting to Corfu.
From Italy to Greece, ferries leave from the following cities: Venezia (Venice), Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, and arrive in the following cities: Kérkyra (Corfu), Igoumenítsa, and Pátra (Patras). The longest ferries are the ones that cover long distances. For example, Venice is the furthest of these 4 Italian cities from Greece, while Bari and Brindisi are the closest. If you go by ferry, I’d say leave from Bari or Ancona, and make it an overnight trip.
Flying to Corfu
or any other Greek islandyou will have to layover in Athens or Thessaloníki. There are no direct scheduled flights from Italy to Corfu, but there are charter flights bringing Italian tourists directly to the island. However, there are several flights between the two countries with city-pairs like, like Rome-Athens, Milan-Athens, Naples-Athens, Venice-Athens, Milan-Thessaloníki, and Rome-Thessaloníki.beach-lunch-siesta-beach-shower-dinner-nightlife-repeat
