Hey guys
We have around 2 weeks to travel during June.
Our Initial list of potential cities:
London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Ios Greece, Venice, Milan, Rome, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid, Ibiza.
Heres what we narrowed it down to:
London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Venice, Rome, Barcelona.
That averages approx. 1.5 days and 2 nights per city.
First of all, do you think this is doable?
And secondly, do you think we picked the right cities?
Our main priority is partying, hard. But we definitely want to see the beauty of european cities. But again, our priority is partying.
Really appreciate your advice
Thanks

Narrow it down some more, it’s still too much.
If you want to party, I say take out Paris and Venice. Especially Venice, there isn’t too much partying especially compared to the other cities on your list. I would also save Rome for another trip. Stick around Spain and hop over to Berlin and Amsterdam, and you should be set.

your main priority is partying, the answer is simple.
Spend those two weeks in Spain. Easily my favorite party country in the whole world. Barcelona, Madrid, Salamanca, Ibiza, Granada, Seville, etc, etc…
You cannot go wrong in Spain. Many people swear by it, including me.
You will NOT regret it.
save amsterdam, prague, rome, and berlin (party cities) for another time.
3 nights barcelona, 3 nights madrid, 2 nights salamanca, 3 nights ibiza (though expensive cover charge to get into the world famous clubs there), 2 nights granada. as everyone well knows, madrid and barcelona are a given when it comes to partying. salamanca and granada are both university towns, party hard? absolutely.
ibiza? you cant miss it.
www.vueling.com to fly into ibiza, not expensive at all (think 100 US dollars roundtrip). dont bother taking a ferry there and back. wastes too much time.
The reason we have paris and london on that list is because our female friends have never been to europe and want to see london and paris. So if we keep the same itineray and fly everywhere, we have one day and 1 night in Paris and Venice, 3 days and 3 nights in rome and barcelona and 2 days and 2 nights in the rest of the cities (London, Prague, Amsterdam, berlin). I am assuming traveling via plane during the morning so we have the rest of the day in the destination city.
What do you think?
P.S.: I completely agree with Spain being the party country of the world, but 2 of my frieds studied abroad there this january and would rather see other places in europe.
that’s a shame they don’t want to revisit. I loved Madrid! I agree with everyone else, you have far too many destinations on your itinerary for 2 weeks. 1.5 days is not nearly enough to see a city. You’ll be exhausted and you would have wasted your money because you would have seen nothing.
Especially with all that partying, gonna be hard to travel in the mornings. Hungover train rides are not fun.
Also, don’t think that flying is going to be much better. Getting to the airport takes time, as does waiting and everything else. Flying will take up around half a day, even if it is a short flight.
I don’t think your plan is very doable if you want to party so hard.
Wh wha wha whats it all about……..
Sorry…couldn’t resist
The only thing I have to add is what Sickboy said about hungover train trips. I missed a train in Munich, threw up on one out of Paris…I would seriously look into planning for "feel like shit" time. And early trains are just brutal and not a good idea if you only have a couple weeks and want to party and travel a lot.
hahaha i almost did the same thine auher

Thanks for all your input guys. If we kill berlin, here’s what we get:
London: 2.5 days/ 2 nights (Fri, Sat)
Paris: 2 days/ 2 nights (Sun, Mon)
Prague: 2 days/ 3 nights (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Amsterdam: 2.5 days/ 2 nights (Fri, Sat)
Venice: 1 day/ 1 night (Sun)
Rome: 2.5 days/ 3 nights (Mon, Tues, Wed)
Barcelona: 2 days/ 3 nights (Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Travel time is not included, so this is actual time in the city. What do you think? Any objections? Ok to spend weeknights in prague and rome?
And I understand that this still may be too many cities, but considering that we’re all graduating seniors and starting full time work soon, we wont get another chance like this. So taking into account the fact that we really want to see enjoy our trip but see as many cities as possible, What do you guys think?
Thanks again
If you chill out and not party too hard one night in Prague, the night in Venice (it’s really not a happening scene anyhow), and your Monday night in Rome, you should be okay to party hard the rest of the time, assuming you’re not vomiting/super incoherent all the nights (a few, okay, but not the night before traveling). Don’t worry too much about being there on weeknights…all those places are large cities.
My advice: rest up in Rome because Barcelona will be your best party city and you’ll be there the best nights.
I still think its too much all over the place, but you seem pretty set on seeing as much a possible. It’s just not the way I would go about it. I think you’ll need a vacation from your partying vacation.
I’m also a little curious how you plan of getting to and from places. It seems from your schedule that you are criss-crossing Europe a couple of times. At first glance, it would seem to make more sense to go Paris to Amsterdam to Prague to Italy
Keep in mind if you are planning of flying to places that there will be hours of lost time getting to airports, checking in, etc…
Though if you do want to party in Venice, don’t stay in actual Venice (very lame) We stayed at Camping Fusina (in Mestre, right outside Venice)..www.fusinabar.com…great bar and lots of fun people. Just an idea if you are up for partying in Venice. Otherwise, stay in Venice for a quiet night.
I’m a big partier at home, but I don’t see how anyone going to europe for the first time can make partying a number one priority…but that’s just me. i guess i’m just scared to go out and get pished and forget where my hostel is or get thugged as I’m tipsy on my way back. but i guess those can be interesting adventures (that is, if you remember them). good luck!!
Yeah it really depends on the city and my mood. But there really is nothing like wandering Prague at 2 am totally drunk. You just get a different perspective on the city. It is a city that must be experienced under the guise of alcohol for sure.
But I prob. wouldn’t feel like doing that in every city. In contrast, in Istanbul I had no desire to drink. Just didn’t seem worth it to me. Don’t know why.
Sarajevo was another one where it seemed conducive to drinking. Plus my buddy and I got a VIP pass to some hot club there…..because I was an American. Very odd, don’t usually get that response. ALmost didn’t get it at first when he said he was Slovene, but somehow American trumps Slovene in Sarajevo
