Hi Everyone,
First, thanks to all who reply to the various threads on this site. I only recently found it and its proved to be quite helpful.
I’m heading to Europe next month and staying for a month. I’ve pretty much got my itinerary sorted out. Just want to get some general thoughts on it. I’m flying into Paris on April 7, the rest of my itineray is about as follows:
Baden-Baden (1 day)
Munich (2-3 days)
Reutte (1 day)
Verona (2 days)
Florence (2 days)
Cinque Terre (3 days)
Nice (2 days)
Lyon (2 days)
Barcelona (3 days)
Tarragona (2 days)
Valencia (2-3 days)
Somewhere in France on the way back up to Paris (2 days)
Paris and surronding area (2-3 days)
So this itinerary covers 26-29 days. As you can see, I’m basically heading from Paris to Germany, then down to Italy, and then just staying along the coast. So my questions/reasons for posting:
– what are a few other towns to visit in Spain, and what might be a good one to visit in France on the way back to Paris from Spain?
– does anyone see any problems with this itinerary, or a reason not to do it in the April/May timeframe
– I’m completely flexible except for flying in and out of Paris. I put together an itinerary trying to avoid most of the BIG cities, because I figure I would get a chance to see those later in life. Munich is probably the biggest one I will go to, and thats only because there is a Spring festival I thought would be worth checking out. Knowing the above, anyone have some general comments? I’m looking for a nice relaxing time, I don’t need to see every sight. I’ve been to Europe a few times, and I’m sure I can go again somewhere in my future
– Finally, whats a good way to meet fellow travelers? It’d be nice to make some new friends, although I have no problem with traveling alone
