I’m travelling to Japan next August and am to visit Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. I’ll be staying with friends who live in Tokyo, but require reasonably cheap – yet comfortable – accommodation in both Osaka and Nagoya. Ideally, I’m after something which is close to the airport.

Does anyone know anything about the Japan Rail Pass, or any site where I can find out rail prices and schedules?

I’d appreciate some feedback.
