What is the quickest way to get over jetlag so it doesn’t take up any time that could be spent touring Europe?

  • Sleep on the overnight flight as much as possible.
  • Stay well hydrated—avoid caffeine and alcohol.
  • Upon arrival, get outside in the sun and fresh air and expose skin to sunlight as much as possible.
  • Stay up arrival day until it gets dark, or until a reasonable bed-time. This will be tough, but it make a huge difference.

There’s been debate on the it’s efficacy, but I find that taking melatonin pills works for me.

Do not eat until the normal breakfast time in the city you arrive in.

I have not tried this, but I heard it works. Obviously if your flight arrives at noon, it may not be a good option. Smile
