July 2010 - Auguest 2010 - First time outside of Canada
Wed, 06/24/2009 - 16:30
Well, im heading to Europe for the first time next summer. Ill have 5000 to spend for a month. This will include having my plane ticket to london already booked and possibly my train tickets. Never traveled on my own before and don’t know what to expect from traveling europe. What should i expect with traveling on my own. Ill be 20 and im male, it is easy to meet people. I herd about people getting robbed on night trains. Check out my itenary, i wouldn’t mind traveling with someone else if anyone else wants to hop along.
I have a travbuddy page setup if you wanna check it out.
I am leaving from Calgary, Alberta with $5000 for 32 days

you are doing all that in one month? In one month, do two or three countries and really explore them. otherwise, you will be really burnt out.
in travel, less is much much more

Do you mean July 2009 to Aug 2009?
I don’t think you can book flights this early for July 2010.
I am from Alberta and will be traveling in May-June 2010 and also will be 20 by the time.
I think I will have similar amount of budget as well.
However I think you should reconsider some of the destinations since the distance you have to cover is very long. Athens to Warsaw is a long way and you are staying in Athens for 2 days and Warsaw for 1 days, so that would be hard to cover and you won’t have much time to spend.
Maybe you could spend less time in Venice as I hear that it’s not a very big city and costs a lot. So spending more time in Poland will save you budget and gives you more time to look around.

so do you think it would be better if i went over a 2 month span then? and go with 6 grand?
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Berne, Florence, Rome, Venice, Kraków, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam
If you can do that i say go for it. I think 6-7weeks will be enough for your initiary although I am no expert in this =]
And by the way, can i ask you how much you are paying for the ticket from calgary to london?
I’m trying to find a good deals on calgary to london or paris or even madrid…

I seen a few flights for $450 without tax. How many days are you spending in each country?
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Berne, Florence, Rome, Venice, Kraków, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam
yeaa but tax and fuel surcharge costs quite a lot..
I’ve seen few cheap ones for this june and july.. as low as 500CAD including tax and all.
I just hope i can find a good deal for next year…
I’m not completely finished with the planning.. but when all the adding and dropping cities are done, i will have about 3 days a city..
but some smaller cities are about 2 days..
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza Town, Rome, Venice, Interlaken, Munich, Prague, Berlin, Damme, Amsterdam, Brussels, London
the one I was looking at comes to $527 inc. taxes
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Berne, Florence, Rome, Venice, Kraków, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam
how many of you and your friends are traveling? I might be going solo if my buddy from Halifax doesnt decide to come along but would prefer to be with a group of people.
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Berne, Florence, Rome, Venice, Kraków, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam
Theres two of us right now. But theres still a year left so plan might change.
