L.A to Sweden to NYC
Tue, 05/25/2010 - 19:13
I’m trying to find a flight to stockholm around the last week of august and then fly to nyc september 22nd The cheapest i’ve found so far is around $995. Can anyone tell me if this is good or if i should wait. Any advice would be helpful.
I am leaving from Los Angeles with $3000 for 27 days
New York, Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Dublin, Barcelona, Birmingham, Dublin

… and then back to LAX after the wedding in NYC?
I’m seeing LAX-ARN Aug. 24, then ARN-EWR Sep. 22, for $815 total with SAS (United on the first LAX-ORD leg to connect).
LGA to SNA (Orange Co.) $120 on Sep. 27; $129 Sep. 26 (American or Delta). I’d sign up for sale alerts on NYC-LAX for this one, because Virgin America or Jetblue will likely have a sale, and those would be nonstop—whereas the 120 and 129 I found each connect.
I doubt you’ll do better on the LAX-STO/STO-NYC flights departing late Aug. for better than $810. You can try some sources in our new user thread—such as Kayak and Cfares—to see if you can do better, but to get on SAS for that price is really good in Aug/Sep.
If I had your itinerary, I’d probably go ahead and at least book the LAX-ARN/ARN-NYC flights at 810, and wait for a better sale on a nonstop flight from NYC back to LAX for return after the wedding.
I just found out that the SAS price is a sale fare that ends on May 27. I suggest you go ahead and book that part—if you haven’t already. http://www.flysas.co…
I’m not seeing that $810 flight. The cheapest on sas is 904 but thats round trip from lax to sto. I’m not sure how I would do the multicity search on that site. Where did you see it for 815? Are you just searching one way flights?

Orbitz and Cheap Tickets have the itinerary Don found for $817.
Expedia has it $810.40 total. This is specifically for Aug. 24 outbound LAX>ARN (connects at Chicago O’hare), then Sep. 22 ARN>EWR (Newark). First flight leg on United, and the 2 transatlantic flight legs on SAS.
