Has anyone gone between Laos and Vietnam recently? I am trying to figure out what my options are on getting from Laos to northern Vietnam, particularly Hanoi. I think I can either fly from Vientiene to Hanoi for a little over a 100 dollars, or go it by road, crossing at some place called Kaew Neua I think. I think I’m going to stick to Northern Laos, just because I want to see northern Vietnam and it would kill me to go into S. Laos, then all the way back up to Hanoi, then all the way back down to HCMC. Have any of you done either the flight or the bus/whatever? Thanks for any suggestions.
