London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague
Sat, 06/11/2011 - 20:45
I have finally decided upon visiting London (2 full days and 4 nights, as I’ll be attending the London hair show for 2 of the days), Amsterdam for 3 days, Berlin for 4 or 5 days, and Prague for 4 or 5 days. I’m flying and have my plane tickets to London, to Amsterdam, and to Berlin… and then I believe I’ll be taking a train from Berlin to Prague which will consume a large chunk of a day. If anyone has any suggestions on cool bars, castles, museums, etc- in any or all of these places, your input would be greatly appreciated! It’s my first time in Europe!

also- ill be traveling mid-late october!
Berlin to Prague is slightly under 5 hours by train
For what’s around Prague click here http://www.eurotrip….
for what’s in it look in any tour guide
If you have any questions about Prague or Czech and Slovak republics, ask me.
If you only want to search train or bus connection within Czech&Slovakia and/or to neighboring countries, use www.cp.sk or www.idos.cz search engines. For domestic transport, they also show prices.
Train between London and Amsterdam is as fast as flying. Any flight takes 5 hours when you add time to get to/from airports and check-in/security time to the actual flight. Thus, the train trip from Berlin to Prague is just another 1/2 day lost to transportation. Just like the legs you’re flying but more comfortable and with less hassle.
In October you will miss the tulips in Amsterdam, but there is still a lot to see. http://www.rijksmuse… is a great art museum. Rembrandt’s house and studio is very interesting. http://www.rembrandt…
And the Anne Frank museum is very popular; too popular in fact, as there are almost always long lines.
You might also consider visits to nearby Haarlem and The Hague. Haarlem is interesting and the church there has arguably the best organ in the world, but you have to research when they will be playing it. The Hague has some very good museums also. The most famous is http://www.mauritshu…. You can get a pass that covers most of the museums, but I don’t know if that would pay off for a short visit. There is also a noted beach by The Hague, but I think october would be too late to swim.
Madrid, Toledo
Dublin, Dingle, Dublin
Bruges, Ardennes, Bastogne, Brussels
