London hostels
Sun, 11/21/2010 - 11:29
Hello
My friend and I have been travelling europe for the last 3 months and we are ending our trip in london. We are trying to find a respectively cheap hostel/hotel with a fitness facilites or gym! Or if unable any cheap gyms around the area which offer like a 2 week membership. Any suggestions would be great.
Thankyou
Ellen
I can’t think of any hostels that have a gym included in price — but then again I could be missing one…
While I’m not aware of your personal situation, why not spend your time outside bicycling or jogging — that way you can enjoy the city as well as work out.

If you are not too fussy about where you stay in London, Right by my flat, there is a cheap hostel which seems to be very popular now.
Hillspring Lodge on 233 Willesden lane, Willesden Green,
Zone 2 about 20 mins from Oxford Street, so quite central,
Behind Willesden Lane is Sidmouth Rd and has a nice bih gym called Cannons. If you are just into tracks then the South Hamstead Cricket Club next to it has running access.
If you are into much more professional or serious training, then the Willesden Sports center, 10 minute job would do the trick.
I understand this is one of the facilities for the trials for the Olympic games is being held.
There are a number of flats in that area that offer rooming and boarding on a nightly basis. These are all private accomodations,
I only know one who offers on a weekly basis but you can check Craigslist etc
