Does anyone know if there is a store in or near London (an hour or so train ride away) that is the equivalent of a U. S. Walmart or K-Mart where an exchange student could buy relatively inexpensive bed linens, towels, etc.? Or would you recommend shipping these things from the U. S. ahead of the student’s arrival in the U. K.? Or is there possibly an inexpensive linen rental service for foreign university students? If any of you have been in this situation, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks.
