Madrid to Palma del Condado?
Mon, 09/13/2010 - 09:43
Hello,
I need to go to Palma del Condado from Madrid on Tuesday. I can’t drive so I can only use public transport.
What is the best method to reach Palma del Condado from Madrid? Bus, Train?
Leaving for Madrid in few hours, would really need some help lol!
Thanks
Sorry for the delay in replying, I lost my internet connection while trying to post.
Trains leave from Madrid’s Antocha station and the train ride is less than 4 hours. Times are 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00 with a connection in Seville and a direct train at 19:05. There are slower, local trains at 10:05 (duration nearly 8 hours) and 16:10 (duration 5 1/2 hours). These also have a connection in Seville. The “overnight train” option involves taking the 22:00 and spending the night (9 hour layover) in the Seville train station to connect to a train at 9:20 AM and arrive in Palma at 10:35 the next morning. Here’s the link for the Spanish National rail company website: http://www.renfe.com…
While I’d guess that train would be a little faster and easier, bus is usually a decent option in Spain, too. Try www.eurolines.com
Thanks for your reply!
Yes I am planning to take a Night bus from Madrid to Seville. But how do I go to Palma del Condado from there? I think its around 50kms from Seville. Are there buses to that place from Seville?
How much would a taxi cost?
Thanks again
