Money - Is it enough to last?
Mon, 07/27/2009 - 22:45
Hi All,
This is my first post and my first trip to Europe!
Just a quick question, I’m not sure how much i’ll need to take on my trip…heres the scenario:
55 Days
19 Countries
Hoping for about $13,500 Australian dollars…
I’m doing a tour with Topdeck for 23 days, so the food and accomodation are already paid for along with transfers etc.
The rest of the 30 days or so will be on my own, although a few flights and scandinavian rail are already paid for, so its mainly the odd hostel and tour/drinking money.
Do you think this will be enough?
Thanks for all your help, i’m just abit worries seeing that Its the first time i’ve been over there.
Thanks again!
If i am getting this right, the 13,500 is just for the 30 Day’s then?
13,500 will give you over 7,800 Euro. That is more than plenty, you should not have anything to worry about.

Thanks for the reply Davy.
Yes, well I may have to spend a bit on the tour, but the majority is covered.
I just wasnt sure whether I’d be able to go out aand have a good time (drinking, clubbing, buying the odd souvener etc), or whether I’d have to be tight with my money and only go out occassionally.
I understand that scandinavia can get a bit expensive, but from what you said I shouldnt have anything to worry about.
Cheers
It’s true Scandinavia is expensive especially if you plan on buying alcohol etc. But you should still have a very good budget.
