OK, I promised my best friend months ago that we’d take a short little trip together when she is on vacation in October. Anyway, we’re kicking around ideas, and both Montreal and Toronto have been on my list for awhile. Has anyone been to both? If you only had 2-3 days, which one would you go to?

Also, if anyone can recommend any budget accomodations or sightseeing suggestions, please post ‘em here!
