Multi city flights - ???
Tue, 06/01/2010 - 01:27
Hi ppl
I am planning a Euro trip starting from Chicago.
Chicago – Venice – Montreux – Bruges – Amsterdam – Chicago.
What’s the best/cheapest way to fly to Venice and back to Chicago from Amsterdam.\
Is there any specific city to/from where I need to book the tickets so that I can end up paying less. I am planning to travel via train between the cities.
Thanks
I am leaving from chicago with $1000 for 8 days
Venice, Montreux, Bruges, Amsterdam

BRU would also be on the route, so you could include that in airfare search; however, with only 8 days, AMS and VCE are good book-ends—I wouldn’t way to stray too far off course with such a limited amount of time.
Kayak and Cfares have good multi-city flight searches. You can also sign up for sale alerts on CHI-VCE, CHI-BRU, and CHI-AMS — because I don’t know of any flight alert that lets you set up multi-city itineraries, so you have to do each one. Airfarewatchdog, Bing travel, and Farecompare have good alert systems.
