Kerala is famous for its abundant tourist places that are one better than the other. Each place has its own specialty, culture, attraction and originality.
Set among the Kannan Devan hills, Munnar is a famous hill station. It is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams- Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. It is famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests and sprawling tea estates. Some of the highest tea estates in the world are situated in Munnar. Munnar beacons the adventurous travelers who are interested in paragliding. It is surrounded by about 30 tea gardens which makes it one of the major centers for tea trade in Kerala. Anaimudi, the highest peak of the Kerala Western Ghats is situated near Munnar. It has a picturesque view as the hills around Munnar are covered with the rare, Neelakurunji plant and lot of tea estates. The exotic Neelakurunji plant is known to flower only once in every 12 years.
Munnar is known for its beautiful landscapes and cool climatic conditions making it a wonderful place for travel.
