Need advice for Vietnam 6 months visa!!!
Sun, 07/11/2010 - 10:52
Hi all,
I just want to ask a question but now I found that I do not hope to receive a answer soon as this forum seems to be quiet.
I have a flight from Malaysia to Vietnam with my 6 years olds daughter on 29th Sep 2010. I think we will travel Vietnam, Laos and Malaysia and intend to stay in Vietnam within 6 months if possible to help my daughter reduce her stress after our divorce. I know that we will need a multiple vietnam entry visa for multiple entries (Plan so!). Yet, I was talked by http://www.vietnamvi… that 6 months visa has been removed. Is it so? has anyone heard that before? any advice.

I will try to find it out! keep in touch!

You could obtain a 6 month entry visa to Vietnam if you have business in Vietnam. Business Visa is needed
visa for people working for a project could valid in 12 months.

Thanks for your updates!
I have been told that the Vietnam Immigration did stop issuing that kind of visa. Are they giving priority for business visa? Any invitation letter accompanied? Which source can I check that info? What happens with tourist visa?
Thanks
Please wait some days, I will check it out! that business visa need you to work in Vietnam, you can try to obtain a 3 month entry visa, then extend it later!
This is from Ho Chi Minh Police Department which control visa application and processes. It’s written in Vietnamese

Lots of my friends say that you can obtain a 6 month visa only if you have a suitable business here.
Good luck to you!
