Hi, everybpdy, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on here.
So if you don’t know my story I’ll tell it again: my friends and I plan to go to Europe in a few years and want to get a head start on planning it. We plan to utilize the “Youth” discount for Eurail *and plan on staying in *hostels every night on this trip.

We added three new cities to this trip, and I’ll denote them as “NEW” in the following itinerary. What I am looking for is help to put a price tag on this trip.

BOSTON to LONDON (5 days)
PARIS (use Eurostar from LON to PAR)
LUXEMBOURG new (Eurail, 2 days)
BRUSSELS new (Eurail, 3 days)
AMSTERDAM (Eurail, 7 days [this takes care of Benelux, which I believe counts as one destination on Eurail pricing])
BERLIN (Eurail, 5 days)
PRAGUE (Eurail, 5 days)
VIENNA new (Eurail, 3 days)
ROME (flying, 5 days)
ATHENS (flying, 5 days)
ISTANBUL (flying, 5 days)
Fly home to BOSTON

TOTAL: 50 days

Here are my conditions:

-Want to use Youth Eurail Pass (except for London and the places we’ll need to fly to)
Want to spend $90$100 USD per day (this includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, spending on souvenirs, museums…is this too much or to little?)
-Reasonably-price hostels for the entire trip

Originally I was thinking $8,000 for everything on this trip, could push to $9,000 (transport, souvenirs, hostels, etc.). Is this too much or too little. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I’m not sure why the $90 is crossed off but what I mean to say is between $90 to $100 per day.
